Gilbert Arenas Shells Out Thousands Of Dollars A Month To Take Care Of His Sharks
Gilbert Arenas's last two contracts have amounted to a mind-boggling $123 million over the last nine years (he still has three more years and about $52 million on his current six-year, $111 million deal), and like many young, rich athletes, Arenas, 29, has been spending lavishly. The Washington Post uncovered these juicy details from a settlement case between Arenas and his ex-girlfriend.- Arenas says he "makes $1.5 million a month."
- He spends $5,000 a month on housekeepers.
- Arenas pays $675 to get his car washed.
- He spent $1 million to build his pool and grotto.
- Arenas pays $5,000 a month to feed his sharks, and $1,500 to have a "keeper to drive from Columbus to take care of them."
- He bought his three children, ages 2, 4, and 5, a $60,000 train set, and an $8,000 toy Mercedes-Benz electric car.

Herschel Walker is defying ....."Father Time".
From the New York Daily News:
Herschel Walker 2-0 in mixed martial arts after winning Strikeforce match vs. Scott Carson
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
The former NFL star won a one-sided mixed martial arts fight against Scott Carson on Saturday night's Strikeforce card.
Walker knocked Carson down 20 seconds into the first round, according to MMAFighting.com, and didn't look back from there.
After picking his younger opponent up and slamming him to the ground again, Walker only had to keep up a fight for 3 minutes and 13 seconds before the ref called it quits.
Ever the perfectionist, Walker pointed to a couple mistakes he saw in the quick bout in the post-game interview.
"I relaxed a bit and I got kicked," he said in the post-fight interview, "So yeah I gotta work on that."
It was the second fight for Walker, who remains undefeated in the sport. His opponent, however, wasn't exactly the toughest.
According to MMAWeekly, Carson had fought only once in the last nine and a half years.
Walker said he was just thrilled to be back in the cage and fighting again.
Walker made his MMA debut last January and said he wasn't totally focused on getting back in the cage yet.
"If I come back, I'm definitely going to fight somebody tougher," Walker said in the post-fight interview.
His only priority now, he said, was getting back in the gym and working out more.
"I just want to train and bring more recognition to the sport," he said. ‘I just to make a little bit more money for these guys."
As for rumors that he was trying to make a comeback to the NFL, Walker said he was merely misquoted.
"The comment that I made was somebody asked me if I could play today and I said there's no doubt in my mind I could play," he said. "And they asked me if I came back which team I would play for and I said I'd play for Atlanta, that's home for me … but I never said I was coming back."

In this small, southern, college town.....
It was 70 degrees today.....in January!
Oh how we love the south!
Why is it.......when you pick up a new car.....all fluids are topped off....oil, transmission fluids, brake fluids, antifreeze, windshield wash..........but not the most important.......gasoline???...and the first stop you have to make is at a gas station? Just a thought.
Why is it.........hourly employees.....always seem to get sick.....at the most inopportune times...while management works........24-7?
It's almost February......Have you done your tax returns?
Speaking of gas prices........Has it reached $3.00 a gallon yet?
I think.....All of the January snow...at least down here......has finally ....melted.
I really don't miss........the winters I spent in upstate New York.

Great game last night at the "Highlight Factory".
From the New York Daily News:
Hawks beat Knicks as Shawne Williams, Marvin Williams square off at end
Shawne Williams proved his toughness by earning the Knicks final roster spot, working his way into the rotation and covering LeBron James Friday. But that willingness to never back down cost Williams Friday night as he exchanged punches with Marvin Williams in the final minute of Atlanta's 111-102 victory. And from the Atlanta Journal Constitution:

An interesting week .....in the world of the NFL. The two weeks between Championship Sunday and the Super Bowl usually provide a lot of meaningless stories.....
But...... the Tennessee Titans dropped a bombshell in party ways with Jeff Fisher after a 17 year tenure.
I guess nothing lasts forever.....especially in pro sports. Fisher had his issues with QB Vince Young......but seemed like a player's coach.
Maybe it was time to go.
Maybe he needs a new challenge....

It seems that the metropolitan Dallas area is a little short on exotic dancers....also know as "Strippers".
Business Insider explains:
Dallas Doesn't Have Enough Strippers To Meet The Demands Of Super Bowl Week
People from all over the country are flying to Dallas this week to have a good time. Right now, it doesn't appear that the city is up to the task. One strip club manager estimates that Dallas is as many as 10,000 strippers shy of meeting the demand from partying customers.
The manager, John Walsh of Showtime Cabaret, is trying to bring in 70 strippers for his own club this week.
Considering Dallas has somewhere around 60 strip clubs, the idea of bringing in 120 additional adult dancers for each seems like a pretty big stretch.
Nevertheless, the city is expecting up to 300,000 tourists for the events of Super Bowl week and strip clubs will surely reap the benefits.
